False labor??
Well we had a frustrating day today. At about midnight last night I started having mild, but regular contractions. They didn't hurt, so I waited a full 2+ hours of them being 10 min or less apart before calling the doctor to see if I should go to the hospital. Since I'm supposed to get 2 antibiotic shots 4 hours apart during labor, I'm totally paranoid about not getting there in time to get both. So anyways, the doctor said to come on in, so we did, only to be told I was, in fact, having regular contractions, but not dilating, so I needed to go home. We left the hospital and decided to hang out nearby so we had breakfast at IHOP with Grami & Kenbob, Nana & Papi and Aunt Bee. Grami & Kenbob had met us at the hospital to help with the kids. Nana, Papi and Aunt Bee were just too excited to wait, so they were on their way to the hospital already when I got discharged. We then headed over to Jordan and Tammie's house to hang out since it's close to the hospital. I continued to have frequent contractions all day long but they never really got painful, just uncomfortable. After lunch, I decided I wanted to try to walk her out. :) We went to Target and spent a couple of hours shopping, but that didnt do anything and I was exhausted since I didnt sleep all night. So we decided to head home where I promptly fell right to sleep. When I woke up at 9pm, the contractions were mostly gone. :( I was so disappointed because I've already been so so anxious for Anna's arrival and today was just a big huge tease. I'm still having some occasionally contractions, but they are still not painful and have become much less frequent. I'm still holding out a little hope she's on her way, but am trying not to keep my hopes up too high so I wont get too upset. I've still got 3 weeks until my due date, so I know I've probably still got some waiting time, but I hope it's not too much longer! Now I just gotta muster up the will power to go back to work tomorrow. :( Wish me luck!!!
