Shuffling the deck

What is God doing in my life this year? Looking back, it's been a rough and emotional year (and a half...). I know I'll look back on it and say "Wow! I'm so glad God did that!". Right now, I'm just wondering what's going on. I feel like my little deck of cards that I call life is being shuffled and I can't wait for the dealer to finish up and deal me my new hand. :) I have so very much to be thankful for too, so while I've had a lot of change this year, it has certainly not all been bad.

The bad:
1. Our pastor left CBC. Okay - that was over a year ago, but it's still been a toll on me this year.
2. We had big layoffs and reorganization at work.
3. My boss of 6 years quit.
4. My officemate of 6 years quit (Friday is his last day here).
5. A whole bunch of other people have quit. We're running on a skeleton staff these days.
5. One of CBC's wonderful pastors is leaving CBC for bigger and better works. Okay - it's not bad - but it's very sad for us. He married us 5 years ago and we love him and will miss him and his family so much! Hopefully we have a while before he packs up and moves on to do mission work. :)

The good - actually, the WONDERFUL:
1. We got to have our first whole year with our precious baby girl!
2. Our baby boy is growing up into a bright and wonderful little boy!
3. We are all healthy.
4. We have a beautiful home for our family.
5. We have the best family we could ask for!
6. We have a great new pastor at Crossroads Bible Church. Thank you for joining us Pastor Steve! We are so thankful for you!

So, as you can see, the good always outweighs the bad, but I'm looking forward to a somewhat more settled 2008 as the rough and tumble 2007 comes to a close.
